Eratosphere's Roving Moderators

The 'Sphere is on the move again, this time with the dynamic concept of The Roving Moderator.

This is a scheme that seeks balance between moderator overwork and the busy forum's crave for attention via a many-to-many association. Thus, a pool of 'roving' moderators is assigned to several forums designated as 'roving'. It is typical for a roving moderator to naturally gravitate to the forums of his or her primary interest. However, every attempt will be made to achieve equilibrium as follows:

• Balancing the ratio of the interest pool at hand to the subject matter of the assigned forums

• At any time, having enough active roving moderators to pick up the slack created by those who might be away for extended period of time for reasons ranging from sailing around the world to penning an epic volume to recovery from critique-all meltdown syndrome induced by staring at one too many incoherent poems.

The roving forums are:

1. Metrical Poetry I

2. Metrical Poetry II

3. Non Metrical

4. FunExcise

5. General Talk

More forums may be added to this list based on existing moderator's need for adventure and/or new ventures.

And now, your (not so new) roving moderators are (drum rolls!) --

1. Kate Benedict

2. Paul Lake

3. Anthony Lombardy

4. Tim Murphy

5. Alan Sullivan

6. Carol Taylor

7. Deborah Warren

8. Rhina P. Espaillat

9. R. S. Gwynn

Keep this angle of the Sphere for more exciting news ... Come and rove with Eratosphere. Have fun reading, posting, & responding!
